Massage at your home in Vienna, VA

If getting to the studio is hard, or home simply suits you better, I can come to you.

Home visits are for anyone who would rather have the session at home: when travel is hard, while you recover from surgery or an illness, with little ones at home, or when your day is simply full. A family member can ask on someone’s behalf.

Sessions at home
60 or 90 min
Where I travel
Vienna, Oakton, Tysons, McLean, Falls Church, Dunn Loring and Merrifield
Price
The price is agreed before the visit. It depends on the distance and the length of the session.

What the session is

The same massage I give in the studio: therapeutic, deep tissue or sports massage, shaped around what you need that day. We choose together when I call you, and we can change the plan once I see how your body responds.

Pressure is always yours to set. At home many people like to start gentler, especially after an illness or a long break from massage. Tell me at any point if you want more or less.

More about each kind of massage: therapeutic massage, deep tissue massage and sports massage.

How it works

  1. Send a request with the address and the days that suit you. Nothing is booked yet.
  2. I call you, usually within a day, to talk about what the session is for and to agree the time and the price.
  3. I arrive at the agreed time with what the session needs. You only need a little space and somewhere to rest.

Getting ready

  • A quiet room with a little space around the place where you will lie, so I can move around you.
  • A warm room. Muscles let go more easily when you are not cold.
  • Loose, comfortable clothes, or whatever you usually wear for a massage.
  • Curious pets in another room for the hour.
  • Stairs, parking and how to get in: tell me when you send the request, so I arrive on time and ready.

When to wait

A home visit follows the same health rules as the studio. Tell me about any of these when you send the request; some mean waiting, or seeing your doctor first:

  • Fever, flu or any acute illness. Rest first. Massage adds load to a body that is already busy.
  • A new injury in its first few days, especially if it is swollen, hot or bruised.
  • Blood clots or blood thinners. A history of deep vein thrombosis, or anticoagulant medication, rules out deeper pressure and needs a conversation first.
  • Recent surgery, until your surgeon has cleared you for massage.
  • Pregnancy, unless your doctor or midwife has cleared you for massage. Tell me how far along you are.
  • Skin conditions, cuts, burns or infections over the area we would work on.
  • Pain with numbness, weakness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or pain after a fall or accident. See a physician first. These need a medical assessment before anyone works on them.

If you are unsure, ask me when I call. I would rather talk it through than guess.

Or message me on WhatsApp, or call (703) 261-3453.
